Aamir Khan – Mr. Perfectionist

I am writing tis post about a person whom i ADORE a lot!!!

Frends, As u all know that Aamir Khan’s debut cum directorial movie Taare Zameen Par has been selected for OSCAR. The actor is busy packing his bags for a visit to the Academy awards for the third time.

Third time lucky?
Aamir seems to b very lucky as – this is his third film to be selected to represent India at the Oscars. The first was as producer and actor of Lagaan and it has made in the best foreign film category. It is a film that is extremely close to my heart. The best part of the film is - the art competition tat is shown in the last twenty minutes. My emotions reach high as the kid regains his confidence. The finale would melt even the stone-hearted!!

His movies like Rang de basanti and Lagaan are according to me - “Life-Time movie"- the movies which u can watch again and again. These movies stir our hearts and wake up our minds. Really Aamir Khan is gifted with imaginative powers. In Rang de basanti, the moral of the story that “The guilty do not go unpunished” indeed should be appreciated. In lagaan, we learnt about hardwork and teamwork...how he formed a team, encouraged the team, motivated the team, guided them in all possible means and finally how he accomplished the goal.

Now let us see the Last seven years’ entries in Oscar Award Function:
2000: Hey Ram
2001: Lagaan
2002: Devdas
2003: No submission
2004: Shwaas
2005: Paheli
2006: Rang De Basanti
2007: Eklavya: The Royal Guard
2008: Taare Zameen Par

This is the message, which Aamir Khan said to the world…
“Do yourselves a favor. Watch Taare Zameen Par with your child. It will change your world. It will also change the way you look at your kids!!”

All these films teach us something in one or other way.. Like a Coin, A film will have both positive and negative messages. According to me, It s always in our hands to see the positive side of any film.

Best wishes to him for his next movie Ghajini.

Bangalore Traffic - Unpredictable

Well frends, u can wonder after seein the title, y I am talkin abt a SOCIAL topic...
Coz bangalore traffic is the one wich i am seeing daily in my routine life...I almost travel in roads for 3 hrs a day...
Thought i can share my daily adventure, so i am here with tis post...[:)]
Have a quick look @ Bangalore Traffic.....

Bangalore - A city of flyovers, underpasses, one ways..!!!
What have been improved with tis traffic is " Sales of Mobile phones with MP3 player"...u can see people with their ear phones or ipods while travelling to a destination in bangalore... Even while waiting in traffic signals, u can see vendors sellin Pop corns with a thoughtful sentence.."Have a BREAK"...[:)]...

Of course u wld laugh if i say.." Travellin within b'lore city is like travellin from pondicherry to cuddalore or Villupuram"..lol...
B'lore is very famous for POT HOLES...
Potholes are like our friends - Tis is the daily mantra of city goers like me....
You greet old ones and meet new ones almost everyday....

And also u can see big advertising banners standing erect with thier Brand Ambassador as Bollyhood stars.....like Tata sky, Samsung, various jewellers and textile showrooms...

Are they called as Attraction? distraction in traffic? relaxation in a jam? ;)...

I learnt these two tings from b'lore traffic...
  • When on foot, never use pedestrian walks...
As you will be in the motorcyclists’ way...[-;]

  • Driving in Bangalore requires double license...
One for your driving skill, the other for ability to cover up for the lack of it in others..[:)]

Well, there is an element of truth in tis. "Bangalore traffic is bad".. BUT (the big BUT here), I am absolutely OK with the traffic and I love the city the way it is ...[:)]
